片中的演员们均以自己的本名出演，剧中的大量对话也均出自于演员们的即兴表演而非剧本。 故事发生在寒冷的圣诞节前夜，杂志社开启了一个特殊的专题，召集不同年龄段的女演员们，共同拍摄一辑以她们为主题的写真。就这样，曾经红极一时但如今已经过气的尹汝贞和李美淑，资质最浅但目前风头最劲的金玉彬，身材火辣个性不羁的金敏姬，由于出演电视剧而在日本有着大批粉丝的崔智友，看似自信但对自己的脸庞很不满意的高贤贞，这样六个个性都极为强烈的女人们聚到了一起。在高贤贞咄咄逼人的挑衅之下，现场的气氛开始变得紧张，而拍摄使用的珠宝又迟迟不来，无聊之中，女演员们提议举办一场圣诞晚宴，一场关于女演员这个特殊的职业和她们所拥有和期望的人生的探讨开始了国外三级

Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
