东京白泉大学的秋叶博士是个疯狂的家伙，他潜心研究型号为由莉亚的机器人，只为满足自己蓬勃的欲望。经历了近百次的失败，秋叶博士终于制造出令他满意的作品由莉亚100号（藤井シェリー 饰）。可是在由莉亚看来，她被制造出来是为了维护世界和平的，怎么可能做如此下作之事？趁博士不注意，由莉亚逃出实验室，并得到大学生久保瞬介的帮助。舜介在一家色情录像带打工，但是他却十分讨厌这些咸湿的录像带和色大叔，他只希望早日完成学业，回到乡下和深爱的女孩玛丽亚结婚。瞬介视由莉亚为亲生妹妹，悉心照料；由莉亚却难耐博士设定好的既定程式，由此闹出无数的笑话 本片根据同名漫画改编。

好像一切都很糟糕

Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
