上流赤裸复仇

　　露丝·斯雷特（布洛克饰）因暴力犯罪被判入狱，出狱后的她重新踏入社会，但自己的过去却不被原谅。面对来自她曾经称之为“家”的地方的无情评判，她获得救赎的唯一希望，就是找到当初被自己无奈丢下而疏远了的妹妹。

 故事开始于十六世纪初，因为皇后凯瑟琳（宾妮·巴尼斯 Binnie Barnes 饰）无法生育，英国国王亨利八世（查尔斯·劳顿 Charles Laughton 饰）同她离婚，另娶了名为恩尼（梅尔·奥勃朗 Merle Oberon 饰）的女子为皇后，哪知道野心勃勃的恩尼整天盘算着推翻丈夫的统治自立为王，当她的阴谋败露之后，亨利八世亲手将她送上了断头台。恩尼死后，亨利八世娶了奇恩（温迪·巴里 Wendy Barrie 饰）为妻，哪知道在生产时，奇恩因为难产而死，只留下了一个可怜的婴儿威尔斯（迈尔斯·曼德 Miles Mander 饰）。之后，大臣们想要国王迎娶德国公主，可这一次，国王驳回了大臣们的请求。
